Overclocking intel Q6600 @3.01 GHz

Post by sunset070 »

I have try to overclock my quad intel Q6600 2.4 at 3.0 Ghz, :D
I have only increase the FSB to 1066 to 1333 MHz and put the fan of cpu at the maximun speed via bios
The system seem stable and idle have one temperature of 51 C° with intel stock dissipator, now I wait one better dissipator like zalmar 9500 led to have better cooling, this seem very luky overclock thing that quad core 2.9 Ghz here cost 800 euro's
The scope's(i have two scope prof.) have increase the master verb test of 2 unit 14 MV with overclock ,12 MV without overclock
After try my pc of full load I waitig the zalmar dissipator

Someone have try this overclock?

Best regards

These are the extreme OC'rs of CPU's.

My Nuendo / Scope Video buddy here in Las Vegas is an OC'ing GuRu.

I would make sure your RAM / CPU timonigs, and voltages are similar to the postings there. Many have had great sucess before you, and have posted all experiments w/ Pictures.

It's great to have options.

Personally I agree w/ H-Rave.

But overclocking at video facilities is rampid.

Gamers are just downright brutal on thier rigs too.

I have seen a water cooled gaming rig, a friend of my sons ( spoiled little rich prick ) and it's impressive. The little brat has a QX6700 OC'd to 3.8MHz !!!

It's a Koolance tower, rather impressive.

I guess you get more frames per second or something.

on my non scope PC i have a q6600 at 3.15 or so it runs quiet with a scythe infinity heatsink and 120mm fan. the computer is very stable, i never had a crash to reboot.
or "Écran bleu de la mort"

there is little chance of harming anything on the PC but there is a lot of heat to share with your scope cards, i wouldnt do it.

the speed difference is not really noticable anyways, i just OC that PC because its always running "folding@home" in the winter to help keep the room warm :)
in the summer ill take the OC off.
