What can a Scope Home Card actually do?

A place to talk about whatever Scope music/gear related stuff you want.

What can a Scope Home Card actually do?

Post by yish313 »

I really want to get the Pro Card, but reality kicked in and I will start with a Scope Home card. A couple of questions tho...

1. Does it come with the sampler ?
2. Can I make a complete song with it?(Scope Home)
3. What mixer comes with it?

Ill probably buy it used from one of you guys, if there is one available at the time.

I still am going to get the Pro series, but its just out the question right now.(damn!! )

Dude don't let these guys dump a 3 DSP card on you.

Get a 6 DSP, that way you can use the stock mixer and some plugs, plus you could have enough juice to use it live.

I think I got a 6 sitting around somewhere, how much green you got?

Really, I ain't trying anything, but a three is just for passing I/O's IMO, if you get one you'll be recording the blues instead of street knowledge.

I think all of mine have the EDSi 16 stuff also, which is your basic TR808 stuff.

Watch this guys sale for the SRB, and check out his Pulsar II board in the other auction.

Within a few weeks you should have a 6 DSP board for a few bones.

I gotta say though we'd be happy to help you on your feet, once you get off the ground.

you get a lot of i/o and a few effects or a synth with a home card. you can use a mixer for the sake of summing and zero latency monitoring. no, you won't be able to do a complete mix, but you can use vsts at the same time in the sequencer. i agree, i'd start with a project, it's a better deal.

I've gotten into the Scope world for (relatively) little money.
1. Brand new Scope Project 4.5 Package at Nova Musik w/ ZLink I/O - $649
2. Pulsar I board w/ software/cables - eBay - $105
3. Pulsar II board with software/cables and "Plus" I/O - eBay - $250

The new Scope Project 4.5 gets me the Synths and Samplers pak for free- I wanted MiniMax. Actually, I just bought the Pulsar II package last night from the guy who is selling the SRB card scope4live is referring to in his above post. I found it by accident. I had saved 2 other Pulsar II cards in My eBay, and just happened to do a search on "Pulsar" to see if anything new had come up. The guy had just posted the Pulsar II and the SRB, with the Pulsar II going for $250 - Buy It Now - I bought it. Check out eBay - the other 2 Pulsar II cards are still up for sale, I think.
If I decide to expand, the Pulsar I card goes bye-bye, and in comes a Scope Pro card.
Good luck
Just play!
