Asio1-Fit source/dest 64 increase storage for audio files?

Hi

On the SFP manual says that Asio 1 Fit source dest 64 module is for 32 bit recording with cubase...so my question is if this module works like a 24 bit asio drive.....if doubles the number of chanels on the PCI bus and requires increased storage space for audio files?

well, it's double 16bit.

personally, i use asio2 24bit modules and everything is great and file sizes are reasonable.

It won't change what Cubase writes to disk, but could well change the data across the PCI bus....interesting
