Timeworks scope vs native?

I would like to buy some Sonic Timeworks plugins and I noticed that the scope versions are more expensive than the native versions.
Sound wise, is there any different between the 2 versions?

Yes but the Scope versions are also a bit old now. They work fine except for 1 particular bug that I forget atm.

well, the P100/a100 reverb is a must-have ! The other plugins are rather "old" and were built by another developper... I loved the 4080L but recent plugins sounds so good now i would focus my attention on more recent stuff. Furthermore STW is not an "alive" 3rd party (their support is not very reactive to me) so i would only go for the P100/A100 if you have second generation boards (no 4 dsp, and boards manufactured let say, approx, after 2001).
As for the native vs dsp version, i remember Martin (the developper, who seems to prepare something new ?

) told me that the dsp version could be better thanks to dsp technology. Actually i am not an expert, but dsp architecture allows what a CPU cannot afford ... so be sure the dsp verion is better !
Hope it helps !

Hi,
Nice to hear they'll do new plugin. I hope they will be XTC compatibles. Their sharc channel strip sounded so good to me, but was not XTC compatible!
P100 is better than CSR and it have a chorus/delay worth the asked price. A100 use quite a lot of PCI channel.
Cheers

I can only speak for my own subjective opinion.
I compared CSR and the scope versions and I prefered that scope reverb version.
The P100 sounded more spacious and cleaner with longer tails.

Btw when I was referring to 'a bit old' I was thinking of everything BUT Warp's reverb devices. They seem to be excellent from every single comment I've ever heard here, not that the other Sonic Timeworks stuff isn't.
What I recalled was some specific settings related bug with the eq that I don't remember the particulars on, and I think the eq/timeworks reverb and channel strip still have the old presetting system?
One of these days I need to get the P100/A100 myself
