will pulsar 1 cards be OK for this?

A place to talk about whatever Scope music/gear related stuff you want.

will pulsar 1 cards be OK for this?

Post by 7ate9 »

Hello everyone!
this is my first post. I just got two pulsar1plus cards and one powersampler card really cheap (plus link cable).
I have no experience with the scope platform apart from what I have read here and elsewhere on the net.
Since the creamware/soniccore site doesn't have any info on the older cards I am not sure of what these cards can do.
I'm thinking of using them to mix audio from external sources (mostly hw synths), other audio apps (ableton live + misc. vst stuff) as well as scope synths *AND* possibly process both external/internal audio through the scope modular...
is any of this feasible/possible on the hardware I got :-?

cheers and thanks in advance

yes

The only real difference from the older cards to the new ones is the lowest latency you can achieve. If I remember correctly the lowest you can achieve on the old 1st version cards is 13ms. I do believe however that the POwersampler card is a version 2 card which will get you under 13 ms if you have the powersampler card as card number "0" in the chain.

Good luck - you are in for quite a ride - Be patient, everything will make sense in time :)
