Gigstudio 4 32bit compatible !!

Post by dawman »

Good news about Gigastudio 4. Of course the rumors of GS4 being 64bit are true, but this latest news came from a developer I do business with, and this means that my Scope DSP cards will not be alone. I seriously doubt that SonicCore will break into the vault to make new drivers for Giga, much less Vista, but the drivers that they made the first time last century still work fine, I just wish they had the financial ability to collaborate with other developers. So everybody buy a Solaris, and maybe we will see some progress in that direction.

This means that quad core CPU's and new Intel chipsets will reside in my very first DAW. I should stop whining, as this DAW sounds awesome, and has paid for itself several times already, and shall continue to do so. It actually has paid for the new Solaris as well. I already am quite feverish, for the same developer has been quietly beta testing my Pedal Steel which uses DEF, and iMIDI rules to an extreme. It will be in my posession soon I hope, and since his first developments were spectacular, I can only assume the pattern will remain. I have wanted this for over 20 years !!

My Pedal Steel will be able to bend bi-directionally, slides on strings while others remain inaffected, etc. It will also be reverse looped, and SSB Modulated, and of course blown out of a Rotary cabinet for that awesome live doppler effect, not the fake / virtual bogus ones.

Watch 4 Gigastudio 4 In Late October, and rejoice as Scope Giga DAW's will continue to punish all comers.
