Connecting The Oberheim EDP via A16 Ultra

Post by dawman »

I need help on this. Just when I thought I was getting better w/ Scope, I Find I still have a long way to go.

This is what I am trying to do,...

Have the STM1632's AUX send 3 drive the Oberheim EDP, and return it's mono analog output into a channel on the 1632.

Is this right ?

STM1632 AUX send 3 >>>>> ADAT B Dest. ( input 9 )

A16 Ultra ADAT B >>>>>>> Scope card ADAT I / O pair 2 ( B )

A16 analog output 9 >>>>>> Oberheim EDP analog mono input

Oberheim EDP analog mono output >>>>>>>> A16 analog input 9

Will this give my ADAT B source module juice to carry the EDP signal to the mixer channel?

Humbly Yours,

after a quick look this should work fine.

nice schematic btw!!!! :D

the only thing you missed is that you nee to connect the return path also.

ADAT B source >>>>>STM1632 AUX send return

I recommend using the External_FX device from the effects folder.

Once you setup your effect with ins and outs, you can save it as

Oberheim Echoplex in your effects folder.

After this you can use your Echoplex as simple as a scope effect.
one time maybe as a insert and next time as an send fx or other combinations.
:D

hope that helps
