I was wondering if I was the only one who had to wait for posts and replies here lately. Is it because we are experiencing extremely heavy traffic, and hordes of new cats feverish to hear our mighty platform ? I heard that le tigre and I were the last 2 guys to buy A16 Ultra in the US and Canada, as there are no more. SOLD OUT to Bose Corporation of N. America

Maybe Sonicore will witness a new stream of buyers, I certainly hope so for our sake and theirs. But if everyone starts using DSP based synths and stops using Tritons, Motifs, etc. Who will I punish ? I always welcome the VSTi rigs as they sound cheesier than the PCM based hardware rigs. Maybe the musicians of the world are starting to use their ears more instead of falling for marketing ads and pictures of pretty Gui's that lack quality sound.

If we need to pitch in to help J.Cooper w/ a larger AMD Opteron Quad Core server, then let's roll dudes.

If I am the only one experiencing this strange phenomenon, I apologise for the arogant rant, but I am proud of our forum, and our platform.

Strength And Honor,

Jeah you really can feel the rush of the new hordes.

Especially if you look to the new registered users count: + ~30 in the last 30 days or so.

unbelieveable.

but my guess is you meant something else. :P

afaik this board runs as a 'minor' task on a much bigger system - the performance decrease you experienced (noticable here, too) is most likely by other network loads, like spam waves and possibly bots attacking, not user activity.
SonicCore will never set their foot in the mass market - why should they ?
It's the balance between size and costs that makes a business profitable.

cheers, Tom
