ext. midi controller values smoothened in mod2

Post by the19thbear »

i think i posted my question in th wrong forum, so here i go again
i want to smoothen out incoming midi-controller values to control , lets say, the cutt off of a mod2 filter.. how do i do this with cw modules??
(the prolem is that it sounds very unsmooth when i make a filter sweep with my controller...)
i think it goes something like this:
load the constant val. module, let my midi controller control the value slide. take the output of the const. val. and put it through a "smoothener" then connect the out fomr the smoothener to cut off mod. in, on the filter module..
my question is: what cw module can smoothen out the const. val. signal??i tried woth a simple lowpass filter, but no...doenst work.

thanks! sorry for double posing

:)
6 dB/oct. lowpass filter will sure work for that
it is a bit annoing to set up as useful range for that is very close to 0, so one has to close it and then open it up a bit using arrow keys as mouse control is way to coarse for that.
Flexor's control smoother does basically the same, except it's control range is tuned to be much more intuitive and useful.
just because you cannot imagine something that doesn't exclude it from reality.
