I'm expanding my studio setup, just bought a new desk (Trident 8T-24), and I want to set it up alongside my older desk (16 ch vintage A&H MOD3). In this setup I'll have 40 channels in mix. But... huh...
I also need to expand my creamware setup for more I/Os. I currently have Luna2 with I/O expansion card (total of 2 Zlink and 2 Adat I/O), A16ultra converter and additional Swissonic DA24 8ch converter (not connected yet!). That's 24ch out right now. I still need 16 output channels!
What would you reccomend me to buy? I was thinking another A16 (since it's also Zlink-able) with some Scope project /Pulsar 2. Is it possible if I connect Pulsar2 to my Luna to loose connection with Luna's I/O expansion? I'm thinking not, but I still want to be sure so if please any of you could confirm it'll be okay?
Should I go for Classic option, Plus option or Zlink option?
In this setup I'll end up using 3 separate converter boxes. Will there be sync problems? Do I need to buy sync plate for Luna? Is syncplate board a separate clock generator or it just routes sync signals through BNC cable? Would I need it?
