Edit :- 02/04/07 It turns out I do have the right card in essence , it was an Pulsar XTC upgraded card with classic I/O plate. the serial numbers and dates just didnt match what was on the box and it came with Scope 4.0 not 4.5 so i have to stuff around a bit but i guess everyone does in some way ,shape or form . End of edit ..!!

I have Installed my new Scope Project card :D I have installed the drivers and am at the Stage where I have to enter the keys.

I sent the appropriate e-mail to info@creamware.de with all my details, serial number etc etc.

Have I done everything I need to thus far???

On another note. The sticker with the serial number on the outside of the box has a Date of 2004 on it, and pulsar 2 written on it.. The Sticker on the Card has a date of 2001 on it , and says Pulsar XTC and has a XTC key on it.

Have I been Ripped off or is this how its meant to be?? ... I know more about it than the dealer who sold it to me ($990 AUD) , I told him the issue and he was unsure, but will be happy to sort me out If anything is wrong.

I really hope everything is normal ... Been waiting sooo long for this.. its right at my finger tips now :D

I have learnt Patience is the key for this Product .. So I will be waiting patiently for creamware to respond, And If I have been sold the wrong card (version) I will be patient and hopefully can just keep this one :D

Sorry for the Noob post .. probably the 1 millionth time youve heard a post like this.. just really want to make sure I havent been taken for a ride.

just a little question, does the card have in/out conectors at the back?

if not, bring it quickly back to the dealer and tell him you wanted a Scope Project and not an XTC card....

the XTC card is just the booster card without any ins/outs and does not feature the SFP-software. :x

and from what I know with the Scope Project pack, you should at least be able to pick up one pack, the synths pack or the effects pack...

This card has the Classic I/O , and 2 ADAT interfaces. the Cable with the ins / outs has midi in , midi out , midi Thru , Unbal L/R in / out , and "DIG" in out. (it doesnt say SPDIF in / out , dont know if this matters.

The software that came in the Box was .. Scope 4.0 cd-rom for 95/2000/XP , Scope 4.0 for Mac os 9.x and "THE SAMPLE COLLECTION" for creamware STS samplers - STS format cd-rom

Mabye the Sticker is wrong on the card , or wrong on the box .. Whatever the case Creamware should be able to track where the card I have paid for is , or hopefully its just a wrong label or even better a Free software update :)

DOH! I thought it would be eaiser to get one from Australia than order one from overseas, mabye I should have ordered from overseas because it seems most people in Australia are clueless about Creamware Interfaces. Why did I know more about this card than the Dealer who sold it to me.

Im confused now :D not the type of problem I was hoping for but hey , Life would be boring if it were Straight forward :lol:

Edit - Oh and another thing ... the S/n on the box is different to the one on the card .. its says its an XTC card but how can it be if it has the Ins / outs ???

okay it seems to be a pulsar Project card... thats good at least.

What is not good is the fact that the numbers on packet differ from the one inside...

what is also not good is the fact that you buy a new card for full price and don`t get the newest software package... ( 4.5)

additionally you don`t know which plug-ins are included.... the additional high quality CW plug-ins can cost you the same amount of money you have paid for your card. :evil:

Is this a serious dealer?

best is you contact ralf and talk about that card and the serial number to clear things up a bit...

you don`t want a replacement card for the price of a new one?

I want what I paid for .. A scope project card I paid $990 AUD for.

If I have been sold the wrong thing my dealer said he would sort it out. The Shop is a part of a National Company , theres no way there backing out of this one if its wrong.

Or If i can bypass the dealer and sort it out with creamware myself I would rather that.

If they dont sort me out I guess its going to come to legal Action against my dealer. looks like ive been taken for a ride :x

This is not the Scope experience I was looking for , not blaming Creamware , im blaming Shonky Dealers ..

1 word ... AAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGHHHHHHH!!!!!! Blind rage .... kicking in ...(breathing deeply) ... time to go see the Shrink :x

$6500 dollars woth of equipment sitting here waiting to be hammered, held back by Dealer's mistake ... doesnt feel very nice :(

1) Would you mind putting "by dealer" in the end of your head-line. Now it looks like a thread against Creamware

2) Isn't it a bit too early to slaughter the dealer? He says he will sort it out, if he does this, you have not been ripped off - still he got some bad rep from you.

3) You are being highly disrespectful against John (our administrator), who spends his spare time moderating these forums, and by that against Z by reposting threads, that have been deleted.

It's the same card, hardware-wise. Software might differ, but I'm sure Ralf will sort it. I can't remember the email address right now.. hopefully someone can confirm that. Most of all you should chill out. When you buy new gear of any kind it's very rare to get it running at attempt #1. When you're up and running you'll forget the annoying day or 2 pretty quickly.

Apologies I will Cool down.

Its just he Pulsar XTC sticker on the card thats thrown me out. Seems pretty dodgy to me.

I wouldnt care if it was a problem of mine , But when you pay $1000 dollars and realise youve been given an product 3 years older than what was advertised on the box ,and potentially have to pay more money to fix it up, Its not exacly the best feeling in the world.

As I said I dont Blame Creamware at all. I blame the Dealer, this is just Bad buisness. Resulting in lots of door slamming :lol:

there is no such thing as a "Pulsar Project" is there? It's either a Scope Project, or a Pulsar 2. Both are exactly the same card so what's the problem? There is no outdated product because it's all the same cards, just different names and different software.
Yeah it's strange that it says XTC but if it has I/O on the card it's definitely a Pulsar 2/Scope Project.

Im sorry If i seem unreasonable .. I will re-think my chain of thought .. I really dont want to get on the bad side here... was not my intention to disrespect Planet z (john) or Creamware, I aplogize If I did in some way , but again was not my intention.

Yes I did do alot of research into this and was re-assured, basically Guaranteed, that I was getting what I paid for from the Dealer.

I never expected to get it up and running in a day, also I never expected to be given a "close enough" product. Im glad someone actually agrees that this is dodgy

As there is alot of mixed responses here .I will just wait for my response from info@creamware. Frankly im just confused now , I will just get used to the fact that this is going to be more of a pain than I thought.

My idea is to avoid waiting further. Your dealer din't provide you with exactly what you've paid for? the box was not integer and not matching in all its parts with the content?

Bring it back, immediately, and ask for a new, sealed and perfect product., if is that what you've paid for and advertised.

I wouldn't have waited 5 minutes.

As I am a Noob to Scope I was unsure if the box was wrong or the card or If was a common fault.

Its all good .. It will be back in their shop tommorow.

You summed up my whole point in your last post.

if I was that dealer and read this thread's subject I would feel upset, as he offered to help sort things out.
As far as I see it you got what you payed for.
The update to 4.5 is for your own account.

2) You know, a company often has several employees, if one at one point was not too good, still the company might be good enough over all. When they say they will sort it out, at least see, if they do so.

if it was an XTC card and it had the I/O attached to it.. isnt that basicly just a scope project?

I thought the XTC, pulsar2, and scope proejct all used the same board, but came with different I/O or software options?

So in essence, if you take an XTC card, slap the I/O on it, and update the software to 4.5 it a 'scope project"' right?
