The sampler in Scope

Does the sts sampler sound better than using a vst sampler streamed to scope or are they of the same quality.

It's a bit PCI-heavy using sampling on STS, I prefer using ShortCircuit (native VST) or Kurz 2500.

VST has sample-accurate playback, although it's not as good for live playing than a DSP-based sampler like STS or hardware sampler like the Kurz, Emu etc.

Sound quality is subjective with samplers... I personally love the sound of shortcircuit and the kurzweil. I'm sure STS has a nice sound to it, but the interface isn't my cup of tea so I don't bother.

STS sounds great, but HD streaming isn't possible. So, if you have giant instruments, you should prefer gigastudio or kontakt. STS loads the whole instrument into RAM.
Tweaking your instruments with STS is easy. I like it. :)
