Nominations for the Top 10 Scope people ever !

Post by sonicstrav »

I thought it would nice for everyone to nominate their top 10 people involved in the Scope system since it's birth or up to 10 if you wish ! :D

After a couple of weeks, I'll look through this thread at the nominations and we can get a good idea of who will get the top places and I'll post the results.

It's just a bit of fun, really, but it's a chance for the scope community to show their appreciation for some of the most dedicated and enthusiastic persons out there !!!!!

Well, if this should be done, we should not forget Subhuman. I know he was a dealer, but he was really the main poster in Z for a long time. I think he passed 2000 posts before anyone else passed 1000. Also his posts where very useful and showed a deeper insight in the environment around Scope (the PC) and how to work. Back in those days, it was much harder getting Scope (Pulsar) to work, because motherboards and their chip-sets where just nowhere near as good homes for our cards as they are today.

The BX chipset was awesome wasn't it ?

I shall put in my vote for the 2 people who helped me and still help others in their quest.

GaryB, and Astroman.

Their undying devotion 4 our beloved platform continues,

JV

I would like to say that John Cooper provided the forum to do this, but as a moderater his input is somewhat limited. He is like our source of life giving water, taken for granted, he quietly understands.

Nestor, paulrmartin, eliam.
The always bring in the "human factor" and they spread love and enthusiasm to Z.

Hey , thanks for the mention! It's good to have you all guys, I appreciate hanging at the Z! Gary's untiring help and support, as well as good vibes deserves a golden award! Astroman, Huub, and of course Kensuguro and Nestor are on my own top 10 list for sure! I'ts a bit unfair to name so few though, because so many fine people contribute to this board!

A big collective hug is a propos!

And a big thanks and a personal hug to Jonh for his amazing patience and continued presence!

I feel harmony has been restored and I am grateful for that, let's sustain it forever!!!

Peace to all!

I'm not a big fan of polls, but John Bowen really deserves a very special mention - I've had the pleasure to meet him personally, just a few hours back :)

music and passion isn't just restricted to the Copacabana - John lives it
he's so sophisticated in what he's doing and still has an open ear to anyone asking a question.
regardless if it's a stupid or a smart one - he just sees the musician and answers as a musician (or from developer to developer).
We all know and appreciate his customer support, you can't top that :)
He may not have much posts, but those are often the important ones on the topic - not to mention his contributions that eventually made this platform what it is - and recently even opened the door into a bright future... ;)

respect and applause, Tom

Ralf, Ali and Subhuman are the ones who've made this platform work where the public is concerned....

i would say JC, JB, Ralf (of course), all the original Pulsar developers (not sure of their names) and some of the early guys no longer with us (some stated above) - subhuman, wavelength and DeFex (Neutron).

On a personal level for just being nice chaps when i've dealt with them: JB, Stephen Hummel (wavelength), DeFex, space f (met several times), astro, megerov (for his continuing Mod patches), atomic, scope4live (still a newbie to me but very enthusiastic), hubird and michu (who i've met too).

i've not had any dealings with him but garyb deserves a mention too.

Oh and DXL of course, for being our very own JP-22  .

I had big laugh when reading that.

This is def. one of the coolest answers in this thread. :D

my highest respect imo has shroomz and sharc, as they are doing "professional" devices (whatever tha means  ) just for for free and fun.
And what I like too, is that the developers are interacting so openminded with the community: John Bowen, Adern Team, WARP and the CW crew... I think thats a very good for the platform.... always an open ear...

but I really don`t see a point to mention some top10, as I love all the individuals over here.
