i think creamware should make something similar in order to promote the endless capabilities of its platform...

Agreed. I would love one for modular, so I could use Flexor and make my own. I have to mooch patches and fish through them 4 content, and then tweak it. That is my current way of learning Flexor amd Modular.

What I would like is a way to stop and pause my latest Cubase 4 video.

I load up the project that has a 24 bit WAV source module so I can get a hands on while I play. You know, hear a sentance or so, pause the video, then execute the instruction, ala real time. The Gigastudio 3 DVD does this, but I knew the app so well, I was only polishing up on some of the reverse audio tricks, and editing stuff.

With the C4 video, I have to close the window, try to execute, then reload and listen to the whole section and wait for the part I'm interested in. There has to be a better way.

Can I re record the app into VDAT or something so I can execute instructions in realtime? I need to get up to speed w/ this app right away, I have to make demo's w/ vocals, and you know how much editing that will be.

All Ideas Are Welcome, I have all day to figure out a way, but these demos must be ready by May, and I have limited recording time, as the vocalists have a very busy schedule.

Impedentally Yours,

Using more than one Wav source.

Play the file back on another machine (laptops are very convenient).

Go to extreme amounts of effort to convert this to a format your dvd player will play (some play VCD/SVCD/older Divx). Usually this would be my last choice but there are some out there who do it for the delight of learning the techinicals behind the process. Somehow I think Jimmy you'd look for a more immediate option.

My projects now include all amnuals at my fingers and all videos w/ play optiona also. This is awesome.

So John, ya' thinkin' 'bout a Modular video ? I know a few of us lazy guys would kill 4 one of those.

A basic intro to SFP would help CW sales too.

Glad To See Your Interests Spiked, Good Luck @ Musikmesse,

Hi John,
I looked into this recently.
The (apparently) best program that offer the most functions is TurboDemo http://www.turbodemo.com/ . I didn't test it personnally but it looks like the professional tool.

The one I use for some videos on my site is BB FlashBack
http://www.bbsoftware.co.uk/BBFlashBackExpress.aspx
It has goods and bads:
- it is the best screen resolution i've tested amongst many other screen recorder (it takes kind of jpeg based images) and it is the easiest to set up (what you do on screen is what you get, whereas most other softwares require bizarre frame per second tweakings). Also it saves directly a swf file and the flash codes that generate a player and a html file. The movie file is very light compared to a regular avi/flash stream.
- the problem, is that it seems to work only with my sblive value that i still have on my computer for some reason... It doesn't synch well with scope wave driver, and it doesn't work at all with my motherboard sound chipset (it seems to be the same with the "not light" version). May be it works with other sound drivers, or may be it is my setup, i can't tell.
Also, it is not editable (you can't resize the movie, add text..etc.); for this you must make an AVI and import it in softs which allow video edition (flash, premiere.....).
I found a program that allows to decompile a swf file to allow its edition in flash, but i haven't tried it yet (i think it is called swf decompiler).

Happy screen capturing
