Bowen's synths as we all know are the kind. This little gem comes very close to real analog, but lacks that Oberheim / Moog fatness w/ portamento when doing monophonic leads, but is somewhat hidden in the lower registers as it sounds pretty fat. But if any of you has a real monophonic beast, you know what I'm talkin' bout.
Just take Shroomz / Sharc's VM-42 Valve mixer and place the two mono synths ( assuming you have one ) and run them in the front, as they are mono inputs. I'd advise cranking the drive here also. But on your analog you can double up on the Oscillators, matching them to the Pro One's, or add different frequencies to really get a full sound. This actually sounds better than mixing my 2 x SE-1x's, as the sonic results are both different, thereby giving you one collassal mono beast.
I have had extreme pleasure listening to the dripping fat coming off of these through the VM-42.
If you don't have an analog, but want to have the old and the new, get a used Studio Electronics SE-1, or SE-1x as they sell for cheap, and they have the Oberheim / Moog filter. This will crush your enemies, eliminating their desire to perform.
I use the older SE-1, and have the SE-1x in reserve. They are basically the same durable well built FAT BASTARDS. The SE-1 can be had 4 300 USD usually.
Bowen's Pro One Vrs.2.2
Quit rubbin' it in about the Andromeda. But definately try it, it sounds so sweet. I always wanted a digitally controlled analog synth.
Just did get my International voltage converter in the mail today, it has every voltage in 'da world, even 220 just in case I want to jam while doing laundry.
Thanks Again 4 the Expressionmate ribbon controller mate. It will bring back memories of my CS80. It was the only thing Iliked about it, as the sound really sucked when compared to the Prophet, memory moog, and the Oberheims that were out then.

So you had a baby to play more w/ Scope, and the A6 'eh? A shrewd operator no doubt.
One more tip using the VM-42 in regards to the HP filter. I use to have to run a slapback effect through a channel just to get the real D6 to honk a little more. The HP filter comes after the ECC83 emu., and since it's adjustable I can give that honky nasal sound to my D6 samples.
Since my surgery I have had the most time, and fun w/ SFP / Cubase 4 / Giga.
The Hussies will fly in early Saturday morning to tear the town up, and of course I must put up w/ the cackling hens, but they are so much fun, and look so fine, it's bareable. My choreographer needs a long overdue break, so she asked me to keep my eye on them. Damn,...that's like asking Colonel Sanders to watch your chickens 4 the weekend.
