Brotha' Pulsarians,
My mistress's name is Solaris. She gives me the most beautiful dreams, and the most horrible nightmares, ...till now that is.
I have discovered that you can have high polyphony counts w/o seeing that annoying reload / optimization window. It is a hard habit to get used to, but just remember to save all projects with Solaris in it, and give it a 2 voice setting, then save. This will reload up quicker, and keep Solaris in one place, preferrably a 15 DSP card.
For Instance,
STM 1632 w/ 4 AUX's, and 2 master inserts.
AUX 1 chorus
AUX 2 tape sim
AUX 3 phaser
AUX 4 flanger
Master Insert softclip
Master Insert PsyQ
GSIF 24 channel
B2003 / Pro One Vrs. 2 w/ 8 voice unison mode 4 extreme fatness
Solaris 4.1 / Solaris Modular / 7 voices after 2 voice reload.
Gigastudio 3 Orchestra sends 12 stereo channels with autopanned Rhodes, and convolution reverbs to it's own STM channel where I can add the Scope FX when and where I want using the KS88 B controllers ( knobs located in the center of the panel ) to change all levels on the fly during a live gig. This is truly a dream rig now. Can't wait to finish the other DAW's with the DAS Modular Mixer, and Pro Wave Modular w/ SpaceF's FX. These Dogs Will Hunt !!!
