I'm sure you guys remember my hybrid days when I was still using the Oberheim XPander / Solaris combo, and the SE-1x. Through thorough testing and a little SDK help from the Guru himself. My #2 DAW is for synths only. It has 3 x Type II cards now, on the D865PERL. 1 x 15 DSP, and 2 x 6 DSP. I had an extra 6 DSP booster so WTF. It adds the extra polyphony needed for this project.

WC Pro One / Studio Electronics SE-1x
When creating presets I simply mute the Pro Wave till it's needed. I either layer the preset, or split it on my controller.
With the WC ProOne / SE-1x , I simply create the fattest Mono synth by mixing sounds and pitch variants.
I have finally got the old analog sound that evaded me for so long w/o the Oberheims. I hope to have my sounds created soon. That way I will be prepared for the Adern Flexor II release from the ModGodz to cover all future programming of new styled sounds.
Life Is Good When Your Synths Are The Fattest,
John Bowens Pro-Laris Rules Synth Kingdom
Actually Cubase 4 will be installed next week when GaryB visits, and the old Avalons, Lexicons, and other dust catchers will be part of a Project studio which will be able to use these grand old beasts along with Scope in a hybrid studio. I just can't see dragging this stuff around anymore w/o a road crew or insurance which was once provided. So don't feel sorry for them. they will be re-activated soon. I had to kick out a freeloading squatter to get this room, so it must be used, or I will catch hell from WJ. I told the bum he could stay if he would take the RIAA classes at UNLV, but he prefers to gamble and drink, and just drift aimlessley.
