hi. i would like to ask a few questions according to using monitors.
yesterday i bought a nice pair of studio monitors. genelec 3210A.
i have read some articles about monitoring but i would like a discussion here.
1. what about the recording
1. mixing
2. editting

........other speakers that i should use and in which process.

This is a vast question wich would require lots of treads!
I'm not an expert but I've experienced the following (wich is true in general):

Good monitors in a bad room give poor results, so this is an important parameter to watch. A good room have to be at least 5*5 meters; the walls have to reflect not much the sounds otherwise you have a constant reverb. But the walls doesn't absorb too much the frequences (anechoic ambients are good for measuring purpose, but not for mixing)

Another important parameter is the distance from your ears and the speakers. Nearfield monitors are designed to work preperly within a specific range, for example.

The positioning of the monitor inside the room is also important to have a good sound without the cancellation of some frequences caused by the wall's reflection.
