A great review by Dave Stewart in Sound On Sound Magazine. Only real niggles are the beta software, dodgy English manual (please let me spell/grammar check, i'd do a better job) and the fact that he only managed 8 of the 12 notes - possibly an early software version? Oh and the wall wart was dissed, but has been replaced by a better UK model (those two pin Euro affairs are a bit dodgy)
The strange thing about SOS reviews slagging off wall wart Power supplies (which they've been doing for 10 years or more) is that you'd think they wouldn't even bother mentioning it due to the fact that it's the best design. Ok, nobody likes having a load of wall warts (except the gear junkies among us) but it's common sense that keeping the PSU mostly external will improve potential interference, heat & airflow stat's inside a small box. Could be wrong about that though

Well i don't like wall warts because i like to power everything from my EMO which has 12 IEC leads on it, which are totally useless with wall wart type power supplies. Also if it's the external power supply with a lead at both ends then the potential for interference increases as it's sitting on the floor, quite possibly where your audio cables are.

I totally agree & would also add the that worst aspect of wall warts isn't actually the wallwart itself, but the power jack socket you plug it into which are normally mounted on a standard PCB (often even the main PCB) This evidently isn't a very robust design at it's roots, as I've had to re-solder the flimsy little power socket on several hardware instruments. A few years of use (especially if gigged) & that socket will give & need fixed. IEC sockets for using standard kettle leads are designed to be much more robust all round & would definately be the preference if the power supply could be moved inside. If there's space, it could probably be done. (by a pro)
