I have been using the Zarg Comb Free and I think it is pretty amazing. I can get 4 instances (1 voice each) with a few eqs on my 3 dsp card. Does anyone have any other suggestions for good free low dsp synths?

As an aside, after listening to the demos for the full Zarg synths I can say they seem to have no equals in the hardware world (but they are too dsp hungry for a luna card.) I will definitely be getting the ambient or the darkstar when I get more dsps.

hi
I did record to wavefiles one synth at a time when i had 3DSP's. That way you can use almost every synth. Look at this forumdevices - you might find a lot there.

My Freq Monster (a VA-FM synth) and U Flo (a UKnow-based synth) are pretty light in DSP usage. They're here on the devices page.

I'd say Wavelength's Inferno & Bluesynth are quite low on DSP usage. We've got a LunaII card in a secondary machine which can run Inferno, BlueSynth, a Masterverb, an STM 1632 & 14 various I/O modules with a little DSP spare
