Hi,
Been reading the Creamware quick start guide and have the P2 Classic board but would like to know what connects S/TDM Bus connectors. I have the Powersampler also which maybe already connected to the S/TDM but I just don't realise it.
There appear to be some other connectors on the card (unless I'm mistaken)so if anyone can explain what they are that would be great.
Thx.
BTW, I know what the sync plate connector is for.....
S/TDM Bus Connectors etc...
Just had another look into the PC. There is a ribbon cable attached to the P2 on the two TDM connectors. From here it goes to the Powersampler card which is a single connector so in a nutshell, one ribbon with two connectors attaching to P2 going into a single ribbon for the Powersampler.
There is a 24 pin connector on the Powersampler which maybe (I hope) for the Z-link/ADAT. Will someone tell me whether this is correct or not?
Thx.

The other connection on the card is the Z-Link which transmits 8 Channels of 96Khz audio to the Luna 2496 card.
This is the s/tdm cabel.

So you can cascade three cards together.

Also H-Rave,
When I look at the DSP's in SFP it tells me that I have nine which is six for P2 and three for the Powersampler so is it fair to assume that because they are connected via the ribbon cable that the cards operate on the sum total of DSP's? -So if I bought at a later date the ADAT expansion plate that would attach to the Powersampler (not via tdm)I would be able to draw power from the six DSP chips on P2 (because the cards are connected via ribbon cable)and have enough processing power for any project?

I had it that way, but I recently by accident damaged one of the plug's contact pins of an outside connector.
But it looks like using the middle instead works as well, which surprised me (indeed)
Off topic:
I will get my G4 MDD dual 1.25 mHz (fastest mac that boots on OS9) one of these days.
The problem was the lack of physical room between the 'upperside' (pludside) of the card(s) and the supply box.
I found a much better solution than I suggested lately.
(only interesting for people interested in mac G4 MDD).
