Hi

Is it possible, in SFP or XRC mode or both, to have the synths load up with one's own choice of default settings?

Eg, when I load an instance of UKnow007, I want it to load in with 6 voices, and to have my preferred controller mapping already in place.

i think it's possible if using the old devices with the old presets management.

Well, imagine you have a very full project, with just a single voice of that synth available as dsp power left, then you just have a new idea and want to load that synth...if it loaded with six voices as default it would be impossible to load it..
Some appearent limitations can save your a** sometimes...

i've found another way of saving the devices with default settings, but to do it you need the scope sdk or to ask some sdk user to save the device with the settings you need.

Ideally the system would detect that it can't allocate 6 voices, or whatever, and then just load in as many as it could, popping up a dialog box to tell you...

What about midi controller settings tho. I'd like to be able to just load a synth in, and start editing it without first having to load a controller map.

Saving the devices with your own controller settings should be possible. Good idea.
But Alfonso is right: Dragging a six-voice-minimax or so in a large project could cause big problems, and you lose so much time with rearranging your project.
Increasing the polyphony of the synths you drag into your projects is very fast done ...

i think that we can save more than one version of the same device, for example, a 6 voice minimax and a one voice minimax.
With the sdk software it's possible to rename the device, so it is easy to recognize the more appropriate for our project.
