Hi
Is it possible, in SFP or XRC mode or both, to have the synths load up with one's own choice of default settings?
Eg, when I load an instance of UKnow007, I want it to load in with 6 voices, and to have my preferred controller mapping already in place.
Default synth settings
Well, imagine you have a very full project, with just a single voice of that synth available as dsp power left, then you just have a new idea and want to load that synth...if it loaded with six voices as default it would be impossible to load it..On 2006-03-06 16:08, thomashenrydavies wrote:

Ideally the system would detect that it can't allocate 6 voices, or whatever, and then just load in as many as it could, popping up a dialog box to tell you...On 2006-03-07 06:05, alfonso wrote:Well, imagine you have a very full project, with just a single voice of that synth available as dsp power left, then you just have a new idea and want to load that synth...if it loaded with six voices as default it would be impossible to load it..On 2006-03-06 16:08, thomashenrydavies wrote:

What about midi controller settings tho. I'd like to be able to just load a synth in, and start editing it without first having to load a controller map.

Saving the devices with your own controller settings should be possible. Good idea.
But Alfonso is right: Dragging a six-voice-minimax or so in a large project could cause big problems, and you lose so much time with rearranging your project.
Increasing the polyphony of the synths you drag into your projects is very fast done ...
