The cusherX effect has a sound I've always tried to achieve and now I can

more than that...
picked Keyboards 6 from 2001 from the shelf where the program's author wrote a chapter about granular synthesis, followed by a review of version 1 of this app, next page Peter Gorges wrote his goodbye statement to the Wizoo lounge section of the mag (which he had moderated), followed by an article of John Bowen about his first years at Sequential...

well, finally I've ordered X-Crusher, but not only for the granular stuff
It's a well thought out app and it sounds good, too - but the dice did fall on it's Midi implementation.
Very smart - that physical model XY grid can send it's controller data to whatever you like, as can all elements of the app.
NEVER had such a smart filter modulation on the Profit-5, and of course that was in sync with the granular sound where the pad simulanteously controlled a different set of parameters

cheers, Tom

I used to keep all my sound on sound mags but ran out of room and had to donate them to a better cause.

Well done on the purchase. The crusher sound is completely unique. I myself can't decide wether to go for the studio or the live app? But I'm gonna make a purchase soon.

for me it was easy as I don't run a sequencer, so I picked the standalone version.
Dunno why the VSTI is almost twice as expensive, but I wouldn't complain either
