Anyone tried both? I've recently had to reinstall windows and my B4 vst is not working - looks like i've got to get a new one. Dunno whether to go for the scope or the NI version. it would be nice if Creamware would produce an outboard option like the tonebar controller that NI do? Maybe that should be released with their new ASB kit in may?

although this is always an opinion, the b2003 sounds far more organic and deeper than the b4 .. at least to my ears.
I always found the b4 not suitable for my needs, either it's screaming too much and has to less lows or it doesn't sit well in the mix. I never had that problem with the b2003.
Cw even listened to my advice making the lesslie rotor better (means not only a tremolo like I believe the b4 still uses, but I could be wrong with that).

A tip for those, who already have it and my MidiToolBox:
Connect the MultiControl to the sliders/bars, so that each has its own controller and setting. Now you can morph between different settings for the bars/sliders and will get out phantastic soundmorphings. The evb3 from emagic has a morph knob built in and turning it makes a lot of fun

listen to some original vintage recording of a B3 - those are usually not sooo great (the records...)
the B4 comes pretty close to that picture.

in comparison the B2003 is like you're standing next to that vintage organ when the record session took place

it's easy to compare the 2 emulations due to identical presets (drawbar settings) - I can only agree to Wolf's opinion.
The effect is VERY obvious if one A/Bs the B4 versus B2003. I have both ... and noone wants to buy the NI version

the B2003 also is a phantastic Leslie, Chorus Vibrato and Tube distortion FX box, in fact that was the main reason for me to get it

Same here, i love using it for M-Tron and vocals, anything to add grunge, Leslie etc. i even created a bank for B2003 for just signal processing here.

Sounds like i'll be after a B2003 then...

Really? 100% similar preset lists? Brave move I'd say
So, there's "Green onions" in B2003. Can you do me a sample with that preset? And "Purple".

not as brave as your use of similiar - 100% similiar isn't that precise, is it ?
similiar explicitely includes a difference, else it would be replaced by identical...

anyway, I don't see a problem to move the drawbars to identical positions on both instruments, as a startpoint for comparison.
The final sound will vary due to different amp/fx emulation and of course the basic sound engine.
You'll probably hear the typical high mids of NI's Reactor engine, too.

The difference between the 2 emulations is so impressive that it doesn't need much tweaking anyway. It's up to personal taste which version is preferred, but who doesn't notice the difference definetely has a problem with his or her ears
