Is everything ok with DirectX 9.0c?

well, i have installed dx9c with no problems, already using it long time and i don't see any reason why not

I installed it on my non-scope machine in order to run World Wind 1.3

All seems fine, except that it has changed my log in and log off settings in Windows. I find it quite weird that it should have done this. My PC used to boot straight up, no request for password. Now it asks for a password - as my account has no password I just have to click OK and then it boots normally. Any ideas how to disable this - I don't have this problem on my scope PC, and I'm sure I read about how to disable this in some SOS article ages ago.

Sorr, forgot to mention that I also have it installed on my Scope PC as it comes as part of the Cubase SX2 install. No problems there, and it has not altered log-in on that machine. Weird.

Go to start/Run and type "control userpasswords2". In the window that comes up, uncheck the box which says "users must enter a user name and password to use this computer". It should ask you for the password (enter nothing as you have none set up) after which you won't be asked any more.

Hi dArKr3zIn,
I did as you suggested, and now it always tries to log me in as Administrator!
So the first thing that happens is that it says 'The system could not log you in' and I then have to change user name from Administrator to the named account which I want to log in as, and then press OK.
Previously, it used to default to the named account I want to use, but still ask for a password. Before Directx 90c it used to just log in with that account without asking for a password, so it should be possible, unless MS have changed something to prevent this happening.
Any ideas???

I use "TweakUI", a utility in Microsoft PowerToys for Windows XP:

TweakUI allows to log on automatically at system startup, and a lot of other useful tools.
