Cubase SX3 has a new function that loads "dummy plugins" that shows that a plugin has been used in the project and remember its settings if the plugin is missing.
If I remove the dll-file for a XTC plugin used in the project and open SX3 in XTC mode the function works fine, the plugin is showed as missing and loads with all settings remembered if I replace the dll-file.
Unfortunately the function does not work when switching between XTC and Scope mode. The dummy plugin does not load in the same manner (it sort of half-loads though), and the plugin and all settings are lost when the project is loaded in XTC again.
Since it works fine as long as you stay in XTC mode (useless for tracking i m h o) the XTC plugin dll:s seems to be ok with the function, the problem seems to lie in the switching to Scope and back to XTC.
It would be sooo nice to get this function to work properly, this was one of my main arguments for upgrading to SX3. Of course i can save settings for all XTC plugins and reload them, but that's not a workflow that can be practically used in everyday work.
Perhaps someone with greater understanding of XTC/Scope can understand the nature of this problem?
And... "Mix in Scope mode" is not the answer I'd like to get.

regards,
Mikael
