Hi all
I am intrested in the Triple Dat software from CW, the info on the website tells me most of what I want to know but the various software packages kinda got me confused (triple le, easycut, tripledat plugin).
All I basically want is a soundforge style program that can process the scope line of dsp plugins in an offline mode. What I'm not 100% clear on is if Triple Dat lets you do that, and whether I should be looking at "Triple LE" or at the "tripleDAT Plug-In"
Thanks,
Faxi

Triple Dat - lets you process dsp plugs in offline mode?
no offline processing of DSP plugins - the only mode is realtime due to system architecture.
the TripleDAT pluging makes only sense in a system under Win98 or ME, no Win2K or XP support.
it was a 'convenience' for easier connection to an existing TripleDAT installation. The plugin is just an IO module passing data to the native app.
the brodcast 'cutter' product line makes only sense in a broadcast environment, it's really tailored to that purpose.
TripleLE probably is an adapted TripleDAT for the Win2K/XP file system and driver architecture.
There are different opinions about it's current reliability, some say yes - some no.
Imho it's not exactly marketed as a dedicated product (the 'full' version is promised to be released 'within 2005'), but added as an (entry ?) audio editor in several bundles.
Possibly some inconveniences result from it's installer if used parallel to an existing SFP installation (just my personal guess).
For the (new) customers of the bundles it's probably ok.
Basically it's identical to a regular SFP installation, comparable to a dual-boot HD where you finally load one OS.
cheers, Tom

U can't use tripleDatLE into SFP.
For example if u wanna record the mixdown of a scope project u can't do that!
I think this first release of tripledat is a very entry level audio editor less powerfull than a lot of freeware audio editors around in the net.But u must pay 149 euros for that useless application...

well if it can't do offline processing it isn't what I was hoping for anyways...
I was willing to live with bugs and all if it could do it.
Thanks anyways,
Faxi

well I knew xtc and all is realtime and can't do it. When I first started looking over the TripleDAT/LE thing I thought it can do offline processing cause they are advertising it as a multitrack/waveeditor with "full integration of all SCOPE plugins".
oh well,
