Finally installed my scope pro into my computer along with a pulsar2 and it's superb!! 21 dsps and total freedom
At present all five pci slots in the motherboard are allocated and also the agp and I think the PSU is feeling the strain as every now and then I hear the fan kick into action.
I haven't opened the comp up yet to check the wattage but I think it's around 350-400w although on the back it's rated at 2.3A 230v which works out to be over 500w (but then i guess that doesn't acount for losses).

Anyway I've seen psu rated at 500-600w with two sometimes three fans but tyhen I think these might be to noisy so I was considering a non fan type supply but then this would only leave the fan above the cpu and with no more pci slots to fit fans I'm worried about the temps inside.

hi

look for a psu with a 120mm temperature controlled fan underneath it. it helps venting the case, and is, in general, superbly quiet.

Thanks  . I picked up a 650W three fan supply thats somehow just as quiet as the old 300W two fan it replaced.
