Does anyone run skype on a pulsar system?
The incoming audio is corrupt on my system(sounds like too low latencty problem).
I tried various settings both on Scope and Skype with no success.
Any ideas?

Are both running at the same time?

If so, I would say, use one or the other

Thanks Counterparts but if I shut down SFP then there's no audio whatsoever (Skype is a free Peer2Peer voice over IP program).
It would be great if my Pulsar could co-exist with the on-board AC97, but I guess that's impossible.
So has anyone ever tried running SKYPE thru a CW card ?

Go into the properties for your card's driver (Pulsar1/2 etc) in the device manager or in the "Sounds and Audio devices" (etc) control panel and look for a latency slider. This determines the latency for the wav/mme drivers for SFP (forget directsound). Slide it far enough to the right to get rid of the errors.

Hope this helps.

That's how my system's set-up...works fine... I use the on-board audio stuff for gaming, SKYPE etc. and the CW cards for my music. Which card do you have selected for recording and playback in the ControlPanel->Sounds and Multimedia->Audio Tab? Those entries should be set to your on-board stuff, not the creamware cards (for using it with SKYPE).

I've disabled the on-board card in the BIOS to avoid contention - are you saying that it's possible to have both cards enabled ?

Mais oui!

I guess that if you wanted to use the Scope card(s) with SKYPE, you'd have to set-up a project with the WaveIn module routed to your audio outputs, and a routing to take Mic input through to the WaveOut module. Then you'd have to set the scope card as playback & recording in the control panel->sounds and multimedia->audio dialog.

(Haven't tried that myself though).

The point I was making in my first post though is that VOIP is fairly intensive stuff, so I wouldn't try to use that running alongside Scope...one or the other.
