Old scope card integration and sharing of DSP resources

Hi,

New to the forum (and Scope) so hi to all.

I purchased a Scope Luna a little while ago for evaluation purposes and my initial thoughts of 'Doesn't this seem complex' have now changed to 'Isn't this flexible'

A couple of general questions.

My intention is to gradually move over to Scope from my old system but it has become obvious that I need a lot more DSP power. Are there any issues with mixing old/new cards? I am thinking of trying to get hold of some second hand 15 DSP cards.

I understand that all software is registered to the hardware it is purchased for. I presume that any card that has licensed software can use all DSP resources available?

I have purchased Scope 4 upgrade for the Luna - do you have to purchase this for each card in a multicard system?

Lastly just to say that I find it hard to believe that Scope/Creamware doesn't have a much larger profile out there - it seems to be a fantastic product.

Mix cards as you like - no problem.
You get the low latency from the Luna on the entire system.
You get to use every plug that is registered to any card in the pc on all dsps.

Very flexible

Hi and welcome,
As Immanuel says, I confirm. One thing to bear in mind as well is that one STDM cable will only connect 3 cards. Also you only need one copy of SFP.
If you buy second hand, make sure the last registered owner emails CWA to tell them of the sale in order to transfer the HW and keys to any software.
