Hello!

Currently there are two options:
a) work in XTC mode, where you can mix and match XTC and VST plug-ins, but you loose all the routing benefits of SFP
b) SFP, where your plug-in chain must be in the following order: first your VST plugins inside the Host Application (SX etc), and then additional SFP plug-ins.

You can still go back between VST-SFP-VST-SFP, but u need to set an extremelly complicated routing usig the Source and Dest Modules, or External Effects... And dont forget that in this way u waste a lot of ASIO I/O, and place extra load to your system and to SFP with the additional ASIO channels.

What I am asking is very simple, yet very useful:
an SFP plug-in, which can work as a Mixer Insert, that can host VST and/or DX plug-ins.
These plug-ins will be run on the main CPU as normal, but you will have the ability to route and chain your plugins in any way you want, without leaving the luxury of the SFP environment!

Do u get what I mean? Is it possible?

If you had a plugin that could host VST devices, it would have to travel to the host CPU and back again, which introduces latency and isn't any different than ASIO.

Using the external effect module is easy and should do what you want. It hides the desired ASIO pads from the project window so you can have dedicated channels. The setup in the host sequencer is what's more complicated, though.

Shayne, piddi, I'm all w you guys. It's all possible for now.

If anything on this subject would improve, I think CW would be the one programming it. IMHO it's not something 3rd party can come up with, neither CW should prioritise it...

But I think you're watching the game on Portugal now Rodos... Have a good one :)
