Once again the time has come to upgrade.

I am thinking of the following set-up:

MSI K7N2 DELTA-L NFORCE2
AMD ATHLONXP BARTON 2600+
512 MEGS KINGSTON KVR400X64C3

Does anyone know of any compatibility issues with any of the above? Should I stay with Intel boards?

HAS ANYONE BOUGHT ONE OF THESE SO-CALLED QUIET CASES? are they quieter enough to justify the expense?

I have a so called "quiet case" (Noise Control) and it does help some, but it's a lot of money to spend on it though. Your first priority should be to get a good and quiet PSU! I bought one a really expensive one, and it is worth the money!

whatever you do get that has quiet [or no] fans, you still have to deal with HDD noise and monitor noise ...so build a big fat timber box for you puter and get a LCD.

a 18mm MDF box internally damped with clever air path will do more to reduce noise than most comercial quiet cases i,ve seen ...unless you have the $$$ for this...
