After nearly three months can't CW finally come up with something better to headline their homepage than "we're out of insolvency" (complete with spelling mistake in the second sentence [relastions]).
Even if there's nothing new at least replace this with something positive. A half hour job for someone.
True I've been away for four weeks and started trying to catch up but couldn't figure out what, if anything, had actually happened. Only what definitely didn't happen....
So before I crawl back under my stone, don't they control the old site any more?
They do but there was a staffing and company change, so I suspect their control over the old site was such that they decided to launch a new site along with the rebranding. Meaning they probably retain control but not necessarily enough knowledge of how its put together to effect a fast site rebuild. This can take many months and perhaps longer for companies with as much product as Creamware.
All aesthetics aside, I choose an 'inner' page so that you could see something here. Notice that the 'old' site uses .asp as its extension (Microsoft 'Active Server Pages') and the new site uses Php. This suggests to me that part of the reason its taking so long to port everything over is because they have moved from a Microsoft backend solution over to Linux. This also suggests that probably there aren't a large number of ASP programmers on staff and hence porting the Key database section is taking longer than expected.
Could be wrong about some of the conjecture but the asp/php part is obvious...

Yes, that is true. I'm not sure whether the new one is exatcly Linux, but any Unix -system definately.

Quite clever speculation I must say. But I'm a little suspicios that CW would do the web site programming themselves. It's pretty rare, that such a company would hold the web. Programming DSP is pretty different from programming web sites

Did you know, that Microsoft IIS can also serve PHP pages..?
Anyway, I see a lot's happened. Interesting to see the rebranding of SFP and Pulsar (and this forum) to Scope. I hope dropping the name Pulsar is the right decision. It must have been the most recognised Creamware product name.

I can only imagine it's a legal/administrative issue rather than a technical one.
Yes - it is just a text change - there is no big programming involved in making a text change.
Overall, there text (even on the new web site) needs a lot of work.
