Hi guys,

Just so you know. My friend went to frankfurt and got me a CD with SFP 4.0.

Yes, I tried to install it, but don't get too excited yet.

It requires an activation key for SFP 4.0 itself which I don't have to install it. I guess it will be enabled once the new website is up and running with the new download.

I don't know how the download will be setup, but the CD itself contains over 350MB with about everything you can wish for including all CW plugins mixers, FX, etc... From what I understand, it only installs what you have registered which is a good thing.

As posted somewhere else in this forum, I suggest you have a backup of all your keys from your 'My Page'. My tip is to go to your page with all the serial numbers and go to file/save as. And put it somewhere you will remember.

I can understand why CW makes sure that their website is all setup properly before giving public access to the new SFP 4.0. The amount of data they are dealing with is going to be huge as well as varied. I'm sure noone wants their key to be missing from their page when you go and install SFP. I have heard rumours that we will all have to re-register but I don't believe it will be the case (Let me know if you are sure either way).

All in all, I'd rather wait one or two more weeks if it works first time. It's not like what we have now is not up to the job. I only want it cos I'm installing a new HD on caddy just for music and would rather have a clean install strait with SFP 4.0.

I hope it all goes well for CW as well as all of us with this new version, even if it only seem to fix a few bugs I don't seem to have or can't get around.

I know it's my first post, but I have been using my Pulsar 2 for 4 happy years now. I just never bothered to post anything, not beeing a whiner or not having anything usefull to say before.

Now you know what to expect on installation. Notice that I don't know what to expect from the software itself.

Have fun

lol
In theory, it will take me 70min to download 350Mb (512kb net)
That is of course if you all stay away, not likely...i guess.
Think they need huge server cooling!

Maybe we will get a new allkey file before they open the race!
