A place to talk about whatever Scope music/gear related stuff you want.

Definetely, you need more RAM. Your CPU can still go a long run... A group of experienced computer geious gathered in USA a couple of years ago to determine which was really more important if you need to upgrade, and in most cases (certainly sure with audio apps and related), RAM is by far more important thn CPU for most applications. You'll be surprised at how much more you can do with another stick of 512. I just hope you get some good one, and that they match each other in all aspects, even trademark.

Ram is first priority, as Nestor pointed out.
I remember a test in PCWorld back in 386 days.
A 25MHz with 4Mb RAM was superior to a 33MHz with 2MB RAM.
Well, this where back when i bought a 25MHz 386 with 4Mb RAM, and i guess its not possible to get a so "expencive" PC anymore.

PCI FLASH RAM, i think, just put more stress on allready stressed PCI buss. But i will not be surprised if this is the way to go in the future......sorry, no glassbowl
