Hi all,
I have been reading a bit last few days and see some reference of some cards having 14 DSPs and some having 15 DSPs, I realize BOTH cards have the exact same number of DSPs on them though some show 14 and some show 15, so I went and looked, my card shows 15 DSPs in the DSP window, I looked at the packaging date on my bock and it was within the last few months.
What exactly does all this mean really? Does the newest batch of cards show 15 DSPs for any specific reasons? I also noticed that SDK can only be run on a 15 DSP card versus a 14 DSP card, so why the difference and what causes this.
Just confused doesnt make a whole lot of sense to me as to why each shows its own DSP count, any one able to shed some light on this issue?
Cheers!
PS. Forgot to add that I understand (1) DSP is saved for system information and applications.

Confused about 14/15 DSP cards..
if there is more than one card present, one dsp will be used for calculation of the stdm-bus connection, if connected via stdm cable.
perhaps this is, what confuses you a bit.
this is true for all cards afaik.
