Hello!
I've just gone XTC-mode but I have this problem. My EDS16i and Poison FM synths cannot be loaded as VSTi's in Cubase SX2 but are handled as VST-plugins. Everything else seems to be working just great. I've downloaded and installed the latest oxe-files from creamware so that shouldn't be the problem.
Does anybody have any ideas?
Thanks ... take care.
Instruments handled as effects in Cubase SX
Hi
I have solved my problems with missing synths. I think it is important to make sure that all files are in the folders that were set during installation. Sounds a bit obvious but I have SX1 abd SX2 on my machine and the SPF was originally installed when I was using SX1. I re-installed SPF giving my SX2 VSTPlugin directory to SPF as default for plugins and it all now works.
The dll's associated with the dev's maybe given the information where the dev files are located during installation, so they can access them....
Any way I think you have to make sure all dlls are in the correct VSTPlugIn folder in SX and your dev files are in the SFP/devices/synths folder. I had to move mine from the package 1 and 2 folders into SFP/devices/synths.

any news on this? Could anyone solve that issue? I'm stuck in that bug too. I tried everything but nothing brings the XTC synths to the VST instruments. They're all seen as effects. That wouldn't be that bad because they work well there but they're not reloaded after saving a Cubase project.
