I tryed modular, I first focus on the ouput signal of the provided oscillators.
By using a wave editor (cool edit) I noticed that the saw ouput signal of the modular is not a real saw signal, it seems to be filtered. Why ?
I tryed other modular systems, and the saws signals looks and sounds like a real electrical saw.
That's certainly why certain persons say that generators are more pure on other systems compared to the modular.
But is possible to have such kind of generator on the modular ?
Or does anybody know how to program own modular modules ?

You must be new to this planet !
The perfect saw for the modular is here : http://www.adern.com/

If still temporarily down due to drained bandwidth, try later ...

Possible to have a demo or a .wav file of their saw generator, for checking the curve ?

Simply put, the CW oscilators in mod are virtual analog, meaning they're modeled after analog circuits. And, they seem to retain certain "unperfect-ness" of the analog circuits. Again, the saw osc from flexor, by Adern, has perfect saw waves.

It's a tough call... the mod oscilators are tunes to sound somewhat "musical", and while they're not scientifically accurate, they do a good job at mimicking the analog saw wave.

So is Adern's oscillator a "digital" saw wave?

yeh, you could say so

btw, i seem to remember Dave of Muon Software posting waveforms of TB303 on KvR forum. they looked like anything but geometric saw and pulse

 wow, Adern succeeded in quadrature of the circle ?

the designer of the Access Virus once stated that the art of synth design isn't to pick the most mathematically accurate rules, but those which do sound best in a musical context. Not a question of reading books, but of experience

cheers, Tom

ps: yes Shaine, I noticed the
