Euro 2004! Yeah baby!
has been a pleasure for me, Spirit!
Yes, England does it. Swiss have no Zidane. No prob here, no excuses necessary, our domain is called Borussia, and the servers are Emmerich, Lippens etc. Remember 66?
Tell him that you have to prevent a kraut from talking too much bullshit and therefore it is absolutely necessary to be informed about every minute of the game. Yeah!

It was a rather slow-paced game wasn't it! Mind you, I don't know how fast I could run around in 35 degrees of heat...Mr Arkadin wrote:

Funniest moment was Rooney's second goal - their goalie's head must have been stinging after that one

And yeah - Mr Bent Arse (spelling?) got sent off

Haas. Rooney is a killer, best tradition.
Seldom to see, such a disciplined 4-4-2 shown by Croatia. Effective and successful. Unfortunalely too late. So France+England can take it easy, IMHO.
Today Italy without Totti. Do they have, once more, a jack in the box? (reserved, of course, for the finals, but spitting can disturb strategial poker face things, hehe)

i'm italian, but i'm not a soccer fan (i don't even watch the euro 2004 match!)
but i think that Totti, after the spit-episode, sould have been sent immediately home by our Mr trapattoni. i have read that our federation is preparing a legal action to try to reduce Totti's penality.
i simply state that this is absurd. He had done a non-justificable act, and if he not pay, thousand of children who play soccer will think that it will be OK to play "outside the rule", to spit on their rivals and so on.
i have no justification for totti's behaviour and i simply say that what there is behind soccer in italy is a big shit.
(sorry if i offend someone, but i cannot simpy watch this things and stay silent!).

I totally agree about Totti - spitting at somebody is not only very childish, but just about the most vulgar and insulting thing you can do to somebody else. Personally, I'd rather be punched in the face than spat there!
I think it would help Italian football to remove some of the more dubious political influences from it (wasn't Berlusconi rather involved in both areas?!)

I wonder why so many try their unfair tricks. Don't they know that the arena is surrounded by video cameras? And the whole world can watch a perfect slow motion a few seconds later? I wouldn't want to see my team win because of a foul hidden attack or some "brilliant" performance. Ok, that with the performance is cum grano salis, ahem.
For Totti: A cool player is a better deal for the team then the best lawyer of your home country!

sweden 4 points +5 2matches
denmark 4 points +2 2matches
italy 2 points 0 2matches
bulgaria 0 points -7 2matches
italy surely owned 3/4 of the game but as always: the dumbest thing you can do (as a football coach) is playing the current result for 45 minutes!
another thing, the goal zlatan scored was a stroke of luck BUT only the greatest players would even think of a heel-kick in that situation. AND score with it.
so how do you like them apples denmark? good luck come tuesday!
Sweden was unfortunate to meet an italian team that really wanted to win and play hard, unlike the way they played versus Denmark. It was like playing a totally different Italy.
The Italians meant business and was there to steamroll Sweden, get a quick goal, and then just go on the defensive and wait out the match as they usually do. Its sooooo sweet to see their boring plan fall to pieces
Im hoarse from all the shouting, but glad that offensive play won the day.
Next stop is Denmark and it will be the match that decides who is the toughest in Scandinavia. May the best team win.

An eye for an eye, and soon the whole world is blind.
