He could dance but let's face it, he was never gong to be hired by the Bolshoi Ballet company. He should of just retired after Thriller and stop trying to top himself. Fame doesn't make you happy, quite the opposite. It's a drug just like the Demerol his doctor was shooting in his ass the night he died. It's not the fault of the people around him either. He would just change his number if anyone complained about his habits. He told Lisa Presley he was going to die the way Elvis did. I guess he just didn't value life that much if he was taking those kinds of chances. I guess it was just too easy for him to get more and more powerful drugs.

I agree about his climax being Thriller, but selling a quarter of a Billion records over 20 years for Epic, he was a Gold Mine.
I think he was scared about not being able to do another Tour like the Victory Tour, or album like Thriller.
Jeez............110,000,000 albums.. :o
When he released Bad and saw only 30,000,000 I wonder if he pondered a tour.
Nothing sells more albums than a coordinated tour.
I would have retired but look at Mohammed Ali and other champions like Roberto Duran ( my favorite all time Boxer ). It eats away at you I imagine.
The saddest part to me is how can someone be broke after that many record sales, and then owning the Beatles publishing as a back up?
In the history of recording, Micheal Jackson and the Beatles topped sales and will continue to do so for years to come.
I get all excited spending a few large, but to have fun spending money like Congress, and only being a single person...............whew...............I'd love to know how that feels.
I'd have walls full of Tonelux modules and synths like Hans Zimmers wall of FAT.....A back yard made to look like Tahoe or Rio packed with fine trim serving me grapes,etc...

yes so many money for so little enjoyment (i don't talk about the kids , lol ;-)
just relistened to many tracks this week end... great artist, dancer, vocalist etc......
And he is the model of the absolute dancer for almost all dancers in this world, can't be equalled before long.

An incredible talent has passed away.
I never saw him on stage and now it's too late....

Seems like he lost his fortune because he had no will power and the same with Ed McMahon. Taxes are high but you don't need such an expensive house!

I doubt it was his house or toys that ate up that financial empire, people like that have a tendency to draw the bloodsuckers. You're acidic as always...

You obviously didn't see the Martin Bashir documentary nor did you check out the auction of his stuff recently and he didn't have blood suckers, he had 100 employees. That is what happens when you decide that you need a zoo and an amusement park at your house etc.. It was all his fault, all of it!

Yeah,.......well wait and see the bloodsuckers which include his father coming out of the woodwork.
Just today Old Man Jackson used the new coverage to plug his " record " company.
The same one he has used for decades here in Las Vegas to lure talent into his " exclusive " management web.
Jackson caused many of his own problems no doubt, but just like a poltician who knows everyone wants money and favors, you may as roll high while you're alive.
I hope these vultures publicly gravel and end up with squat......

The Vegas clan made a living off of Micheals handouts.
The old man took in millions while he promised to build a Micheal Jackson Wax Museum, all while he was driven around in a 700,000 Phantom Limousine. Which actually was repo'd back when Micheal settled out of court and paid his lawyers off.
Hell Tito use to bum chips off of the high rollers that came to see the girls I worked with.
These mooches are pathetic.

That is true bro. I saw Joe say that and it was outrageous. It should be at the top of the Jackson news. On the other hand, he gave one of the sons a middle name of Joseph. Without Joe Jackson and his dream, there could have been no Michael Jackson. That is for sure. Don't worry, that quote will be in the Michael Jackson biography movie and it's not going to be flattering to him. He will probably try to sue them.

JV, here in the UK, a broon breed Big Brother contestant that died of cancer got more press coverage than Jacko & Princess Di put together, so go figure. It's all pointing to the fact that it's the press who are pathetic.

Agreed Brotha' Man Shroomz & Braincell.............
I can only tolerate the media on occasion.
I watch Dennis Miller on Bill O'Reilly as they are always bashing judges and politicians, and for that entertainment I have to hear his biased views, which shows the same boring right versus the left shit.
I would love to have a reality show of a bugged lobbyist like the Arabscam from years ago.
Anyone wearing towels and robes could buy a politician in that show...........that stuff's great entertainment, especially listening to them wiggle around like a snivelling child when caught, and that's right before they start ratting out everyone.
Yeah Old Man Jackson is a serious disappoinment on every level.
When I signed on with him in the late '80's, at first I thought I had found a way back in because I was sent to the Latoya audition at the Sands where I was in my little sequencer house band. I got the gig and then she stole the Sands Hotels front money and split to France, never to be seen again. She then released her book about the old man out of desparation so he stuck me in an all sister family band, which were very talented. But shortly after that Ed Bradley from First Edition show came and put us on TV since he was famous, and when I saw the show I freaked.....it was just a ploy to prove that the old man was a " family Values" kind of guy.....................
I have way to many stories to bore you guys with, but trust me, these guys have never released a record, and are so full of shit it would make their skin appear to be lighter in color.
My mom & pop loved the VCR I sent them though.
I miss those girls very much.....never had to ask for a backrub, was always being fed with home cooked food and Kim Chee.......those were the days my friend.

First of all the subject says "Rest in Peace" and these people are dead, they are not resting!

Secondly, Jimmy you said you watch Dennis Miller and Bill O'Reilly. This is the crux of the problem. I watch Jon Stewart and Steven Colbert. I have a huge problem with right wing wackos. Fortunately people are starting to see what totally complete idiots the republicans are. Not only did they bankrupt our nation, but they made us the laughing stock of all of Europe and hated in the Middle East.

I don't watch anyone except at 5 pm, and since they are on then I watch 'em.
I love Stuart and Colbert too.
You should really try and be more original though, instead of spuing those hateful blog talking points above.
You seem to be smarter than that. And being a musician your level of hatred is sad actually.
I hope you find some happiness in your music and quit watching so much TV.
You are being Brainwashed as there's no difference between the political parties, they share the same goal with different lies, that's all. Their goal is to be re elected, bottom line.

And Micheal Jackson will always be the King Of Pop......

I'm more liberal than the democrats but there is still a big difference between the parties. The southern democrats, not so much. We need to abolish the states. Some of the less populated states have way too much power. We would be in good shape now if not for the folks who wanted slavery. You watch Rachel Maddow?

Always quick to jump on any loophole in the logic :P I wasn't trying to 'cleanse him' from his responsibility in his affairs, certainly his excesses have been hyped far beyond infamy. But he's dead so that would all have to be in the past tense.

Personally I don't think the people around him were constantly trying to prevent him from buying another Ferris wheel or whatever. I wouldn't reduce anyone down to being single-dimensioned, but those employees are still there just the as long as the show kept going. And the nightwalkers I'm referring to are a different story still, this lot may not even show up on the 'public' radar until these things pass into history. The ones I've encountered in the past seemed to be good at surviving, and so I would expect no less from that financial empire. As Jimmy points out the show ain't over yet, the nightwalkers live on so we may see a few more of them yet.

I do agree with Jimmy as well in that M. Jackson is the King of Pop. Much like the embodiment of Mua'Dib took Paul Atreides into the Spice where no other trained witch could go, Michael seems to have risen to levels of Pop that no trained starlet has in my memory, embodying all that glitters & sings.

The King of Pop is dead, and Bill Drummond must be floored.

+1

Well crafted 'media' with serious production values, seems to be doing a good job at keeping a huge chunk of the daily grinders rolled up into the 'current' unsolved or 'manufactured' issues when they're not being distracted by the dog & pony show (like the King's passing). I don't think that there aren't people who try to make things better than the state they found them in (Do Good Or At Least Less Evil). But the lack of complexity & finesse in our politics here doesn't (imo) lend credence to the idea that it's not a filtered & somewhat artificial faucet to sip from for info. I sip from it because it's the world we find ourselves in, but I removed that hose from being constantly connected years ago and feel healthier for it.

Also I'm not sure if John Stuart is Liberal, he seems to be willing to take any circumstances and use it to make jokes and inject information that appeals to people who are in the 'blogging/social' information streams. If I recall he took the guys on CNN Crossfire to task on the topic of the bipartisianship & artificially created/slanted issues. A great performance that I really would like to take as authentically outside of the current political box (that show did disappear soon after.) Also it seemed to me that Colbert isn't Liberal, but rather his 'character' is parody of one particular Foxnews "Conservative" personality/show.
