No, the world is not ruled by aliens, the perfect electric car does not exist, and the thread was not locked because it was not CW related
Looking at the thread you will find at the end:
This thread is locked to keep conversation on the topic in one place.
Relax !

I think it is quite hilarious [and saddeningly ironic] that folks sit at their computers and complain about a thread being locked as a threat to their freedom of speech. Yet, at the same time most Americans do nothing about
the US PATRIOT Act , which essentially erodes much more signifact aspects of our freedom of speech [such as public trials, privacy of communications and organizational communications, and freedom of expression, especially within academia].
Of course, most people don't know about the U.S. Patriot Act, in part because its significance is downplayed by the
Corporate Media, which serve their own interests, such as a stable economic/political system, which maintains free market capitalism supported by violence against dissenting individuals [like WTO protestors in Seattle] and nations [like Cuba]. So most folks aren't really to blame, because they are unaware of the problem.
While we can all agree that free speech is important; bickering about thread closings due to trolling instead of attacking [or at least discussing] real threats to our freedom is disheartening. Of course, most musicians are romantic and idealist and not social/political activists.
And sorry to non-Americans who read through this. But if you live in places effected by U.S. foreign policy [OK, that is all of you], then I suspect you can sympathise.
And if I offended you, good. That means you were paying attention to something that you should be emotional about.
To freedom of speech,

yes well, this is a private forum for the mutual benefit of pulsar users.it has rules already and that's o.k..haters need to get on with their lives and allow those of us who don't hate to continue our business.that said, there has been no true damage to anyone regarding this website by anyone here.or by cw for that matter.i didn't see a need for locking the forums or trolling but i can see the inevitibility of both.as the previous post pointed out, there are many more serious issues to get worked up about.the rest is childishness.let's get on with making music and improving our tools, techniques, and ideas relating to music.there is not sufficient time for stupidity.(tho it's great fun) thanks for keeping me involved in my studio......................
oh yeah, and it's REALLY stupid to want continuous developement on the platform and not want cw to make any money on any package anywhere.it's not very real to expect a company to set itself up to go broke.cw needs to make a fair profit to provide a stable and adapting platform.(duh!)
no haters.

.
Our host said "no smoking" - so we don't smoke. I mean, would you argue the rules of a house you visited? We visit John's house. And John has trusted Subhuman to take care of that house during his absence. So if we want to go to Johns house, we obey the rules Subhuman gives.
