I just bought a bundle of PT reverbs, I must say I was astonished by it's 'realness'. It was as if there was a festival terrain in my computer, the next moment I was in a real opera hall.
I have the STW 4080L and MasterVerb too, but these PT2024 really knocked me out!
I tried loading (per SubTest rules) as much as reverbs as possible. For reference, I only noted the last situation before first PCI Master Overflow. The links are to snapshots of the projects:
MasterVerb: 9x loaded, about 55%DSP usage (of 14DSP).
4080L: 6x, 40%
PT2024: 3x, 40%
So now it's up to you, to set your own priorities.
PS. Oh, I have the PT202x series. PT203x series require a little more:
"At least two Pulsars or two Pulsar IIs. Some of you will be able to load say the PT2032/36S but with only 1 board, there are no guarantees. If all you have is 1 board try the PT202x series: these will be the biggest versions you can load."

Sh!t, the links to the jpg's don't seem to work. Well, you could try them, maybe they work for you...

The PT 2036L can be loaded and ran on a Pulsar1
Infact I have afew studio's around the world using such a setup along 480's/M3-5 as well as System 6's in cheapo P2-300 to P3-500's
But as not everyone is willing to build a box around a plugin I decided not guarantee for anyone that this would work all day without problems.
But for those who asked for specific's on such little boxes they have had no problems for a year now, using the cheap little box as they would any other piece of kit in the room.

I think EarlyFirst states that you can load that verb on a Pulsar1 and that your card (and thus pc) will act as 'one dedicated Reverb machine' because you won't be able to load not lots of other stuff.
It's a bit like STW's Mastering Compressor Soft, it takes just below 4DSP. Your Pulsar1 will bring you a distinct Compressor then, you can only add ie. source/compr/dest for Mastering Purposes.
I use that STW MasterCompressor Soft only for Mastering, as it takes way too much for a normal project, it's a drainage of DSP power. But if I choose too, I have a world class compressor in my box.
As EarlyFirst states on his website, try the demo before you buy it. Then you'll know your board can handle the PCI traffic.

I'm hoping about 3-4 weeks for release..
I want to first give them a good run in the release version of 3.1....
I'm at the final stages of adding the rest of the controls to the new surfaces...
( there are pages of controls on the new versions)
Don't worry you will not need to know a damn thing about how the delays work in order to get your upto 4zones covering 4separate time/freq domains sounding SWEET!!
The controls I have come up with for this release are SICK to say the least....
As for the existing ones if you want to get any get em now..
You can email me for links to them online
Surround versions will also be released

Hello Paul,
I recently tried out the PT free reverb and basically just connected a straight stereo source from a CD player to the input and then the output, "wet" only, sent to the pulsar analogs outs so I could here what it sounded like. Played an acoustic style CD and I could here what I suppose you would call "artifacts" and noise in the background of the effect. The reverb effect itself sounds wonderful and you probably wouldn't hear the noise when you do a normal effects send mix etc. I tried this with the masterverb as well to double check my setup but the MV was ok. Is this normal? Or is there some sort of marketing thing happening here.
Regards,
Stuart.
