SCOPE 32Bit (4.5 and 5.1 are the by me recommended versions) is best for STS, Vdat and everything Modular and ZARG using samples for their presets or are able to load samples.
Rules also for some time-based FX like tape delay in modular and other stuff using host computer´s RAM.

It may be that (if we are able to help Scope 8 emerge) that the sample OSCs and some other current memory address related device bugs are actually fixed, but it's unclear if STS ever will be as it's not a huge need in the market. Remember that there ARE still actual hardware samplers on the market (MPC's, Elektron, legacy samplers on the secondhand market, etc) so users like drhardlove that want it for niche uses are a niche of a niche within the market. Hard to justify in terms of dev expense unless there's some way to specifically market the result that will achieve a return on investment there. And we can all see what has happened to that end of the market in terms of disappearing to native and 'prosumer' offerings that 'work well enough' to scavenge the higher end--leaving it entirely to musicians who want a hardware only workflow as more due to User Experience / workflow reasons. Ie, people who want to move away from computers and laptops entirely! So it would be hard to sell those users on again using a computer for low latency hardware like experiences, imho.

But, you never know. If there's considerable interest in investing in Scope 8 maybe enough funds would appear to help STS too. That's a reference to something that's not visible to the public yet, so more on that later.

So are there challenges using v7 in 32 bit then?
I have bought it, because I thought I had to.
I guess it can still come in handy, on another 64 bit system, since I also like to bring the Xite-1 when travelling with laptop.

I tried to find what ZARG is, but was unsuccessful.
Can you enlighten me further on that?

I have an MPC4000 (an Akai Z4 sampler in disguise plus a groove sequencer) and consider it on an equal level of sophistication as Scope.
But I wouldn‘t hesitate 1 minute to replace it by Spectrasonics Stylus, if it was only about the groove.
For any non-perfect finger drummer Stylus does the same job in less than 1/10th of the time.
Imho Stylus is an outstanding product and comes bundled with their full „classic“ Akai groove CD portfolio.

myself running Scope7 on Win7/32bit on Asus P4C800, Intel 875 chipset, mobile P4 (with the 1 bent leg mod to reduce Vcore) 2Ghz, 2GB Ram, the most stable Scope system I ever experienced.

Zarg is the company of John Bowen, famous for the Solaris Synth, which started as a Scope device.

Thx. I have the Stylus RMX, and I don't mind using that, or any drum machine, or sample player, in the Daw domain. But my main focus with the Scope Xite-1, is to achieve latency free control of natural sounding instruments like bass, woodwinds, horns, and anything like that, with my midi guitar.

I also have trillian and other great vst instruments, but the latency annoys me big time. I like to play my ideas trough a real time signal. I guess a hardware sampler or workstation can replace the lack of a sample player in Scope. I suspect the latency via Xite-1 to the sampler will be minimal.

I struggle with very high latency in my motu pro based main system.

Typing from my head,- I don´t remember the details,- but some devices make trouble also in Scope v7 32Bit and they work better in Scope v5.1.

It´s no biggie.
When you got Scope v7,- that´s v5 keys for the devices,- except for the application, which always will need a individual key.
So the question is,- do you have v5.1 and a key ?

you don't need a v5.1 key with v7 32bit. just the zip with the v5.1 files from support.
