PULSAR II v3 is coming but i don't agree with something !!
I quote:
''Giving their software for free they could keep their customers happy and increase their prospective buyers ,it's not so difficult to compregend this notion and if some people still can't understand this i have one thing to say BILL GATES!!!!!!''
Since when does Microsoft give anything away? Or did you get a free upgrade from 95 to 98 to Windows 2000?

seems like just a month ago everyone was ready to pay creamware $100 or so just to get v3 happining sooner. . .now people feel that they should not have to pay anything ever, look at it this way if creamware goes out of buisness we are all screwed because whatever version we have will be the last. no new drivers for tomarrows technology means that the cards will be worthless in a year or two. I personally think that they are doing a good job of constantly improving their product and offering optional goodies at reasonable prices. I would much rather pay $100 here and there and make sure that there will be a v4 and so on. my 2c. later

I don't know what happens in great britain
robert however i haven't yet met a person here in Greece that bought any windows software from version 3.11 to the 2000 version.Perhaps they state a price for their upgrades while in the meantime allowing cracked versions to circulate. The same policy was followed by steinberg also which
forced cubase to be the most used sequencer
allthough it's not the most competent.
If people were to buy windows software Gates
would have a very difficult time explaining
the huge instability of their software and certainly he wouldn't be in a position to "deprive" us from the beos software.
However with this policy he manage to globalize his software and monopolise the market , unless you are feeling that that happened because of the good name his software managed all over the years.
Returning to cw i have to say that despite the dsp power available we still have to upgrade our pc's, so concidering the wealth of dx, vsti format.e.t.c. software i'd say that the only way for cw to compete would be to give their software for free.Don't forget that with pulsar or creamware products you depend only in cw software and thirdparty one's which cut's down significantly the variety of the offered product's and until now we haven't seen a
software created for creamware by the big names like waves,t.c.,e.t.c.
Creamware has a very small part of the whole
soundcard-software market so they should offer more
having in mind that their products have had some serious omissions over the years and i've yet to see a completely happy pulsar, scope user. It's not about the money it's about showing their intension to please their existing customers and the future ones as well.

hi guys,
may you know, what i´m thinking about that all ... so, i´m using this cards from the beginning, have followed that much problems, that much unbelievable discussions about this unbelievable politics (promisses) of cw.
many people got to have good nerves a long time waiting to solve the problems they had with their cw-card ... now it´s time that they all can get their systems running well. and when this version is finally holding that promises that had been failed in the past, it should be for free ... for different people v2.x had been a beta-version a long time, may the v3.x will get a final!

I think the v3 should be complete for free.
Because creamware increased their prices after may01 and modular 2 wasn´t a free register bonus after that anymore. All people who bought a pulsar in this time between may01 and august01 feel kidding about creamware´s price policy after they read the announcements on pulsar v3. If those people have waited till september01 they would have get all of the new stuff for the same price as they paid before between may01 to august01.
I bought a pulsar2 board at this time to cascade my pulsar1 and it seems unfair. And I think that I have all these musicians on my side who bought in this period a modular 2 for nearly 200 euro or a sts 3000 which also costs nearly about 200 euro(If they have waited they would have get for less price more new modules).
It is in this respect a sort of UNFAIR and offending price policy against their users!
Creamware if you want to keep your
customers satisfied, be fair with your price policy!
I hope that v3 is a lot more stable than
v2.04a. If this isn´t the case I should sell or destroy my boards.

There's a rumour that the selling price of new Pulsar is going to be increased once they start coming with the Power Pack, if this is true then you won't be losing out. Anyway, Creamware may end up giving a lot of the Power Pack devices away for free or cheap down the road -as they've done so often before- so you could always wait.
i already got my rant out today, but now i get to do it again.v3 is FREE.the extra devices in the pro pack (a bargain at twice the price, ask any one who purchased mod2 and sts)could have been sold separately for MORE money so stop whining about fair.cw is behaving properly here. you (who complain),are just mean people who don't want others to get anything for free that you paid for.too bad!it's not happening to screw you. it's happening because when the pro pack was made (an excellent value without mod2 and sts)some nice cw staffer sez "aw heck, lets give em mod2 and sts as well". it's not a conspiracy. no 20,000 dead. it's just the evolution of the system. i'm looking forward to pro pack for the synth and deesser.the mixer will be a welcome device as well. as to the rest it's my good fortune.so now you're hating? it's not fair? when your brother or sister got an extra ride at the amusement park did you sit down and cry?when a schoolmate got an extra notice by the teacher did you start a fight to beat the shit out of your freind?also my pulsar 1 has ALWAYS worked.(on my asus slot a board with the shitty via chipset, with never less than 16 tracks)
P.s. cracks or not, windoze updates are not free.

Well Garyb,
as i've already said, in my case pulsar never worked as it had to ,probably because i use a mac and pulsar was adapted to it not programmed for it.So i'm obliged to state again that i'm "angry" with CW mostly because in the past year i couldn't work properly and be productive ; if my pulsar worked from the beginning probably i wouldn't care about new versions and free devices ,and practically i'm just intersted in the new mixer cause the BIG MIXER is a phase nightmare.
I really hope that v3 will run as a swiss clock and i can assure that in this case i really wouldn't mind about other things.

Hello air_pollo ,
i have a mac g3 450 mhz(blu/white) 384 mo ram
ati rage128 ,scsi ultrawide pci card( for 2 segate barracuda hd),pulsar 2,scsi adaptec 2930 for cd-r.
mac os 9.1 (upgraded from 9.04) ,oms 2.3.8.
the main problem is when using vst/32 and pulsar together : while on vst window everything works quite good (it freezes sometimes but after trashing preferences it works again for 2 hours ,with heavy audio editing ,plugs ...) but when i switch to pulsar window in order to adjust some levels on big mixer or tweek a bit some synth ,pulsar freezes constantly leaving a nasty audio loop.
The second problem is oms : i always have to run a new studio set up otherwise my master keybord won't work, unless i'm in the edit window of a midi track.(it did the same with 2.3.7 too)
Third problem :from time to time the computer's keybord stops working,so i have to restart the mac and it works again
i hope to have been clear enough ...
thanks for help. I'm going to copy this thread to the problem solving forum in order to avoid confusion.... with other users.
Cheers
