No, the seller has a bunch of different types of vintage mic pres. That one you mention is just a custom rack ready to take a pair of those pres, but doesn't include them. He's got reasonably priced cable kits & PSUs for setting your own up as well though.

Check out the Sound Devices MP-1. It's designed for field production such as television, radio and film work. It's built like a tank & despite having 48v phantom power, it runs off 2 AA batteries. This is one seriously cool little box. The only downside is that you'd need to swap out a pair of rechargeable AA batteries every so often, but with 48v switched off it runs for 24 hours, which is pretty damn good. Broadcast quality pocket mic pre for under £300.

Greetings; The Allen & Heath Z R16 stretches this topic a bit. It's a firewire-equipped recording mixer w/ what A&H are calling among the best pre's in their range -- I've read rave reviews about the pre's.

Firewire is nice, but what really caught my eye is the double adat i/o's (16 channels in and out), which would make for a lovely SC front-end. What I've been reading about lately -- though unfortunately not quite financially ready to try this myself yet -- is mixing out of the PC using an analog summing device. The Z R16 can do this, and is also a good tracking front-end, and it's got those lovely pre's (apparently). The price is lower than Neve's summing mixer and, no, i'm not an A&H sales person (though i wish i were for a couple days just to get the employee discount).
