I understand. Now I could take a cue from you and get my butt in gear with some music as well, having faced my own diversions the last few years. :)

The speakers are powered MSP5's and have a level control......As for the Behringer ADA8000, I already have one connected.....did you read the thread just above your last reply? - I mention one of my plans / options of using a headphone amp connected to ada8000 via adat for musician headphone monitoring whilst playing.....
Sorry I can't claim to actually remember *everything* I read :P But yes it sounds like your ADA-8000 is going to get some use!

This would be the 'monitor controller', such as perhaps the SM Pro Audio M-Patch 2

Hello there,

I've looked through my previous posts about the SM-Pro 2 for use with the Scope Pro and Power Sampler PCI audio cards - It is clear to me that this is a must for using with these cards.

Recently I've been looking at the Xite PCI-E card and need to ask you folks that if I did get one of these units would I need the SM-Pro 2 in the same way as I would for the PCI cards I already
have??? - The Xite has a headphone input/output on it which is why I ask.

And the headphone out is of excellent quality.
Hopefully a smaller XITE will have this useful Gem.
We actually can reherse an entire group through headphones its so good.

How do you mean a smaller Xite? do you mean another newer updated version? - If so how likely is this?

I'm considering an Xite but weighing up my options. I have Scope Pro with Pulsar 2 (20 DSP) in a PC - It is clear that I could benefit from SM Pro 2 for using with my PCI cards but if I got an Xite would I still need the monitor output control in the same way???? or does the Xite not need it?

it's likely, but not a sure thing until S|C announces it.
