Thanks for the well-wishes and the welcomes. It was imperative that I keep the rackmount computer case I'm using. So, ingenuity kicked in. With the slight modification I'm planning, the result will work like a dream. I also decided to upgrade the CPU to an Intel. The AMD 64x2 worked perfectly with the Mixtreme, but I know the NForce4 chipset spells death for the Scope. Hence the change.

The only piece that may take awhile to get is the motherboard. Hopefully, I can track down the one I want quickly.

I'm more than pleased with what I paid for the used Pulsar I and the new Scope Project cards, too.

I'll keep you posted.

Just for your information, I use an nForce4 (gigabyte) mainboard too and it works pretty fine...

PCI bandwidth seems fine as I have a pretty high loadcount of Masterverbs..

I think its an K8N SLI, but can`t say for sure without opening the case...

Well, I have to change the board out anyway, as it only has 2 PCI slots. And, the new motherboard I want (Gigabyte GA-P35 S3G - 5 PCI slots)) is not AMD compatible. So, I've got to spend the extra $200 or so to get another processor. I'm using Win XP Pro Retail, so switching everything is not a problem.

I have intrest in this gigabyte board also. please do report if it works fine and measure the pci bandwidth with MVs

I may upgrade the next months also when I found the money.... it seems quite cheap so far:

Gigabyte board 70€, E8400 170€, Memory seems cheap also.
