Just wanted to point out that 1) potential customers must respect developpers' fame and stay moderate when it comes to judge a plugin, mainly if the test has been too short and 2) companies (who live thanks to their customers) must answer to their clients.

Thank you for your answers DAS, and thank you all for the feed backs...

if a comapny is active (mostly Eric) in answering questions on a dedicaded user forum, like planetz, they should react on every feedback... good or bad ..

What is this called here: a selling forum?

they post their whole price list here and point out how good their own plug-ins are...

But if someone is coming up having a problem or think there is something wrong, they act like: "go on and post a private message".

Thats totally misbehaviour I think...

so I think there are two ways for a company to behave:

(1) stay out of the forum and let people think what they think
(2) or act like active members and answer any question, also the negative ones...

There cannot only be good feedback...

I`m still missing an answer.

Give in Hifiboom, if it's only buy buy DAS, then make it beye beye DAS...
If one needs a pdf and presets to run a noise gate, there are other choices.
If you need a EQ, get the De-vice ISON.
If you need a reverb, there's choice enough

No, you didn`t... you talked about your noise gate and that we/I have to learn/understand 0dbfs.

I think I do know what 0dbfs is, but thats extacly the problem with your plug-ins.
They don`t show when they start to clip....

And the distortion does occur as an Insert, but ALSO as a send FX. Using as send is NO solution at all.

Its not the sum of dry and wet that leads to clipping.

If you implement an EQ in front of your reverb, that is capable of boosting some frequencies, it can deliver some heavy internal distortion.
And thats not due to a totally new and other design of your reverb compared to Masterverb, its just much more easy:
Masterverb does not allow you to boost on the input EQ. NO BOOST - NO CLIP
Because of 0dbfs. Thats what you wanted me to understand? But its not me that does not understand.

And none of your indicators does show this, because

IN_LED seems to be in front of the EQ (does not make sense on any plug-in in the digital world, because incoming signal can`t clip...because of resultion limitation in digital world)
OUT_LED is behind the whole reverb

If you switch some FX together in a seriell row, you should add the right amount of meters at the right places too.
You would need a third one in between EQ and input of the reverb level.

But as your PRE-EQ-LED is useless at all you could make it work like a POST-EQ-LED.

best regards,
hifiboom

Hifiboom, why not email DAS off list to discuss this? It looks to me from reading Eric's replies on the various threads like they've had a really rough couple of days here on the forum. Going by the fact that he's seemed quite upset & distraught at certain comments & attitudes by the tone of some of his replies, it might be a nice jesture to speak to them privately regarding your problems?

I may be wrong, but it's just a thought
