routing is what you do in the SFP project window...it should be remembered, it's programmed on DSP

Forget about that nr. 15, if it may show up it's a relic from older times

I was told that the 15dsp was for routing. I don't know if it is routing window job, or routing activity for dsp performance.
What i have understood so far is that the 15dsp board (scope sp) which used 14 dsps for loading as well, probably could make better load of the 14 dsps because of the existance of this 15th one.

I tried to explain why it doesn't make sense to worry about one chip more or less - the card can only in theory be loaded perfectly up to 100% but almost never in a real world application.
The software controls this automatically and it does a fairly good job, much better than on (well regarded) other systems - one really doesn't need to understand the details to make music with the card.
I know a lot of techie details because it's fun for me, but I really never cared about the DSP control.
Your DSP folder (C:sfpappdsp) contains some 1.200 dsp modules - a device like a mixer is probably built from 30 different ones, a synth from 100, an effect from 20.
Do you really think you can maually allocate those resources better than the system ?
how much time would it take for you to find out the optimal distribution ?
That simple(!) mixer-synth-fx setup is already a mixture of 150 program modules (in 'reality' those boxes that represent the device on screen are built from that many items), a sophisticated project can have 4 times as much...

do you understand now why it simply cannot be loaded perfectly.
if you insist on a chip more, then this 7.5% are less than half of value added tax rate I'd have to pay for that card - it's really nonsense to bother.

ARCADIOS - astro is right... trust me, if I had a 14 chip card right now I would not be worrying about it on a forum
The 14-chip card is the current top CW card - it's meant to be the way it is, and there is nothing wrong with your system

I can see that some of you in this forum have a real deep knowledge of these systems and see things through another prism. I know that the most imprortand thing is to make music. But perhaps you have passed through these thoughts as well in the past, about which machine is better, how much better etc, which chip is faster etc.....

Are creamware boards all compatible?
pulsar2 is exactly the same with project i think, scope sp has small hardware differences from scope pro?
I have a pulsar2 and scope pro.
Do these work perfectly together, or do you recomend: scope pro+scope project
scope sp+pulsar2
Do i have to worry about the combinations?

Garyb Thanks! It was active sensing that made midi to freeze in acpi, but i think i'm gonna go back to standard pc.
